LAPADA Berkeley Square Fair returns this October with over 80 world-class exhibitors

  •        London’s leading art & antiques fair, LAPADA Berkeley Square Fair, returns to its iconic Mayfair location this 23-27th October (preview on the 22nd). 
  •        Marking the culmination of London’s international art fair season, falling ahead of the festive season for attendees on the lookout for unique gifts.
  •        Showcasing over 80 exhibitors with new names added in 2024.  
  •        From fine art and exquisite jewellery to furniture, antiquities, crystals and minerals as well as specialist collections of Samurai and Impressionist works. 

Since 2009, the LAPADA Berkeley Square Fair has become a leading showcase for art and antiques on the international arts calendar, establishing a reputation for attracting buyers interested in significant one-of-a-kind investment pieces, alongside a new generation of keen collectors from around the world. The fair is located in the heart of Mayfair, known globally for its rich heritage, luxury retail, neighbouring art galleries, restaurants, hotels and private members clubs. The fair benefits from its close proximity to these establishments, with visitors spending well over £10m across the week.

New for 2024 is the launch of LAPADA Fringe, a celebration of Mayfair’s vibrant culture created by world famous establishments from The Connaught to Cartier.  This year also marks the LAPADA association’s 50th anniversary, a milestone that will come to life through a series of curated events, in collaboration with experts and tastemakers leading up to and during the fair, celebrating the experience, knowledge, and history of LAPADA. 

Unrivalled in its breadth of exhibitors, this year’s confirmed galleries will unveil an exceptional collection of art and antiques, design and interiors from 80+ exhibitors, with antiquities, jewellery, watches, sculpture, fine art, furniture, clocks, crystals and minerals on display.

Returning exhibitors, all renowned specialists in their fields, include Carole Tresor, Butchoff Antiques, The Parker Gallery, Lennox Cato Antiques, MacConnal-Mason and The Old Corkscrew alongside new to the fair exhibitors such as Olga Lagbesi, VANT and Gallery V from Schwyz. Specialist collectors will find exquisite pieces from David Thatcher’s Samurai Art, original 20th century European impressionist works from John Adams Fine Art and specialist objects and extraordinary forms from outside of Europe curated by new fair exhibitor Patrick Mestadgh.

  • 'Le Miel et Le Lait', André Masson, 1968, Presented by John Adams Fine Arts

André Masson commenced his artistic studies at the Academic Royale des Beaux Arts in Brussels, before moving to Paris in 1912 to continue his studies at the Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts and eventually moving to United States amid the outbreak of World War II. This vibrant and visually dynamic piece was central to the artist’s ongoing exploration of Greek mythology, telling the story of the newly born Zeus and conveying the extremes of human emotion through both tragedy and comedy.

  • Pair of George III Gainsborough Armchairs England, 1775, Presented by Lennox Cato Antiques

This classic pair of George III carved mahogany Gainsborough armchairs, in fantastic condition. 

  • Gold Match Safe Inset with Gold Quartz, Attributed to George C. Shreve & Co.San Francisco, USA, 1870, Presented by The Old Corkscrew

This sophisticated Gilded Age gold match safe is inset with beautiful gold quarts stone. It features an inscription reading “To John Archbald Esq, Cashier, San Francisco, Savings union, May 14th, 1870”.

  • 18-Carat Gold Bangle with Diamond Decoration, Buccellati, Presented by Anthea AG Antiques

A prime example of the talent and craftsmanship of the iconic Italian jewel house, Buccellati, showing off it’s remarkable 18-carat yellow gold work with diamond decoration.
