Being Brunel

Being Brunel: a new museum dedicated to the life and legacy of one of engineering’s greatest minds – Isambard Kingdom Brunel – opens on Friday 23 March. Discover the man who 'built Britain' from ocean liners like the SS Great Britain, which transformed the way we travel, to the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge. Gain unprecedented insight into Brunel's influence on the world throughout the six galleries housing over 150 of Brunel's artefacts, never-before-seen personal possessions, interactive exhibits and audio-visual experiences. 

Brunel’s SS Great Britain is home to the world’s first great ocean liner, the SS Great Britain and the Brunel Institute, which houses one of the world’s finest maritime collections and the National Brunel Collection, and now the new museum: Being Brunel.
