Mallard Point produce their own wines and gins from grape to bottle, bringing joy with minimal impact on our planet – this happens in all aspects of their vineyard, winery and distillery. To celebrat the Coronatiion, the distillery has released a recipe for a Gin Martini – the King’s very own drink of choice.
MALLARD POINT’S GIN MARTINI
A 50/50 Martini made with London Dry gin and Vermouth – enjoy King Charles’ favourite tipple in a sustainable way.
For something different, why not try this recipe with Mallard Point’s limited edition Pinot Noir premium gin?
INGREDIENTS
- 60ml Mallard Point’s London Dry gin
- 60ml dry vermouth
- One unstuffed Spanish olive (for garnish)
STEP 1
Stir your Mallard Point London Dry Gin, the dry vermouth, and a little ice together. You can also garnish your glass with an unstuffed Spanish olive if you have one.
STEP 2
Stir your martini with ice and then strain into a martini glass.
STEP 3
Serve straight up and enjoy.
Mallard Point's aluminium bottles are sent to customers with return packaging so they can be posted back to Mallard Point at no additional cost. Once they arrive back at the distillery, the bottles are cleaned, sterilised, and reused – reducing the large carbon footprint it requires to recycle glass.
Crafted with care and attention to detail, Mallard Point’s products include a classic London Dry Gin, and a limited-edition Pinot Noir gin, and later this year they will launch a pink English Rose gin and their first wines.

Mallard Point is a family-run Single Estate Vineyard and Distillery located in Essendine, Rutland, forever linked with the record-breaking Mallard Steam Train. We planted our first vines in 2019, with further plantings in 2022 and again in 2023, and make regional terroir specific wines that are closely aligned with the premium spirits from our distillery.
From field to glass, we approach our craft conscientiously and sustainably. All our drinks are made in small batches with minimal intervention, to respect the natural flavours. We keep all production in-house to maintain the highest standards of quality control and reduce our carbon footprint.
