The sun has finally arrived and for the month of August, you can feel the sand between your toes without leaving the city! From 1st-28th August, Costa Del Croydon will transform the rooftop of Centrale’s multi-storey car park into an urban beach paradise, offering a unique blend of seaside fun and city vibes right in the heart of Croydon.

Families can look forward to a variety of activities that guarantee fun for all ages, all set against the picturesque backdrop of beachside charm. The fun continues with opportunities to get into the competitive spirit and have a go at bingo on the beach, dance workshops, hook-a-duck, mini Go Karts, or a game of table tennis to show the kids who’s boss.

For those seeking a sun-drenched retreat to unwind after work or enjoy a refreshing daytime break, Costa Del Croydon is the perfect destination. Featuring a variety of delicious street food, refreshing cocktails from the Thirst Trap mobile bar, and ample seating areas, it's an ideal spot to relax, socialise, and soak up the summer vibes.

Visitors can indulge in a variety of tasty food options, from classic pier-side treats like ice creams, candyfloss, and doughnuts to 100% halal Indian cuisine from Indi-go, chicken and more. 

For those moments when we experience a classic British summer and a bit of rain, the activities will move into a pop-up space in the centre to ensure the vibes don’t stop.

This exciting summer event was born from the desire to bring a beach experience to those who might not have easy access to one. With many families in Croydon living in flats without outdoor space, and the nearest beaches over an hour away in Brighton or Southend, Costa Del Croydon is set to provide an accessible escape filled with sun, sand, and smiles. 

Every Tuesday, Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA) will host a community day. Local groups can apply to showcase their talents and performances, with applications reviewed by URW’s Social Value team, the Centrale team, and CVA. Eight slots are up for grabs, making this a great opportunity for community engagement and celebration.

Costa Del Croydon is more than just a pop-up beach - it's a celebration of community, creativity, and summer fun. Join us for an unforgettable seaside escape, right here in Croydon!
