KidZania London, the indoor city run by kids, is launching a brand new series of monthly events, designed to spotlight the very best children’s authors and inspire a passion for reading and literacy among 4 to 12 year olds. The Book of The Month events, hosted in partnership with publishing partner, Little Tiger Group, will allow parents and children to get up close and personal with their favourite authors, who will lead a series of fun, interactive workshops for young visitors at KidZania, as well as giving fans the chance to purchase signed copies of their favourite books.

Book of the Month will kick off at KidZania on Saturday 16 June, giving families the chance to meet Spynosaur series author, Guy Bass. Confirmed events for June, July, August and September are as follows:

But saving the earth from alien invasions must come first and the planet is under attack! Biskit and Mitzy have come up against a bizarre range of alien invaders - from face-hugging beards, to stinky cheese - can you help author Gareth P. Jones create a disgusting new alien for them to battle?

Additional authors will be announced throughout the year.

Little Tiger Brand Director Lauren Ace said: “Every community should have a library and the KidZania city has welcomed the Little Tiger library with huge enthusiasm. A Book of the Month programme, highlighting a new series each month, felt like the natural next step from our World Book Day celebrations to extend our partnership throughout the year. We are always looking for new ways to connect our authors and illustrators with their readers and as a top destination for families, KidZania is the perfect place to reach them.”

Eddie Kemsley, CEO KidZania London said:“Following our World Book Day events this year and the incredible Library space that Little Tiger has brought to the city, we are absolutely delighted to be launching Book of The Month at KidZania. Reading and literacy is such a crucial part of the school curriculum and we’re so proud to be working with some of the UK’s most inspiring children’s authors to bring gripping stories to life in a fun and interactive way. We hope it not onlyencourages children to develop a love of reading, but inspires the authors of the future too.”

The new Book of The Month activity follows a successful partnership with Little Tiger Group for World Book Day 2018, and KidZania London is pleased to announce that it will be continuing this partnership for World Book Day 2019 to deliver a celebration of reading, writing and books across the city.
