Big Bus Tours New API Technology Makes Way for Paperless Ticketing

Big Bus Tours’ has launched its’ new API technology as the company focuses on its mission to reduce paper vouchers. The new technology also enables trade partners to easily book Big Bus Tours products and receive QR codes that can be embedded into standard partner vouchers, ready to be scanned by Big Bus Tours staff at the start of the tour.

This new technology has been successfully trialed with 10 global partners, and is currently being rolled out to a wider audience.

The API functionality enables customers and business partners to easily book tickets and receive QR codes, eradicating the need for a printed voucher and helping to improve the collective customer experience from booking through to redemption, in particular mobile customers.

The new trade specific API is built as a modular system, allowing partners to utilise as much or as little resources, to meet the needs of their customers.
